Prezime  EZGETA —  Surname EZGETA

je najvjerojatije po podrijetlu motivirano zanimanjem: prvonositelj je bio po zanimanju EGZETA.
Tumacio je, objasnjavao i iznosio kriticka objasnjenja biblijskih i drugih vjerskih i pravnih tekstova.
Naziv EZGETA najvjerojatnije je izveden kracenjem naziva EGZEGETA,
od starogrcke rijeci EXEGETES (ἐξήγησις od ἐξηγεῖσθαι) = PROROK, PROPOVJEDNIK, TUMAC, UCITELJ, SAVJETNIK, GATALAC
(gl. e x e g e i s t h a i = pokazati put, voditi (voditi van), izloziti, objasniti, tumaciti itd.)

E. Partridge, ORIGINS — A Short Etymolofical Dictionary of Modern English, New York 1983, pp.190.602. ]

Neka istrazivanja migracija EZGETA kazu da su EZGETA bili Grci koji su se sa otoka Krete,
prije nego sto je rimski vojskovođa Quintus Caecilius Metellus Creticus (c. 135 BC – late 50s BC) osvojio Kretu 69. pne - 69 BC,
odselili na Dalmatinske otoke, a odatle...

Ime  CARMEN —  Name CARMEN

CARMEN
— latinski: PJESMA (Carmen, -inis, n.)   /    CARMEN — Latin: SONG, TUNE, POEM (|noun| Carmen, Carminis Neuter)
and is also the root of the English word charm.
Iz istog korijena (Carmen) je izvedeno "Carmentis" ili "Carmenta" sto je naziv rimske boginje rodjenja i prorocanstva,
a "karma" znaci: "prorocanstvo - da svako bice snosi posljedice vlastitih djela"
te "univerzalni zakon izravnavanja, logika vjecne pravde, duhovne i moralne ravnoteze."

Carmina Burana - O Fortuna   —   Carl Orff (1895 - 1982;  performed by   SolistInnen, Chor, Orchester der Volksoper Wien, Austria; Europe

'O Fortuna' was written in the 13th century as a medieval Latin poem, which was part of a collection known as the Carmina Burana.
It literally means 'Oh Fate', and it is a complaint about the inescapable power of fate. Sure, this might seem a tad negative,
but fate had greater relevance in the lives of men and gods in Roman and Greek mythology.
Around 1935-6, German composer Carl Orff set the poem to music as part of his cantata Carmina Burana,
which was based on 23 other poems from the medieval collection.

Carmina Burana je kantata za orkestar, zbor i solo pjevace njemackog kompozitora Carla Orffa, izvedena 1937. u frankfurtskoj operi.
O Fortuna je spjev Carmina Burana, zbirka latinskih spjevova napisanih u ranom 13. stoljecu. Fortuna je bila boginja srece u rimskoj mitologiji.

"Nessun dorma" from Turandot (1919) - Giacomo Puccini  (1858 – 1924)  /   performed by   Luciano Pavarotti   (1935 – 2007)

'Nessun Dorma" is usually translated as "none shall sleep" but it's actually quite a sophisticated phrase. The verb dormire ("to sleep") appears here in
the type of subjunctive known as congiuntivo esortativo, which really suggests the meaning "I desire that nobody should sleep."
Put that in your pipe and smoke it, grammar nerds.
At the world premiere, on April 25, 1926, at La Scala, Milan (over a year after the composer's death), the conductor, Arturo Toscanini,
stopped the performance at the point where Puccini had stopped writing, and the curtain came down.

In the movie, Astaire sings the song to Rogers as they dance.
The song was nominated for the Best Song Academy Award for 1936, which it lost to "Lullaby of Broadway".
The song spent five weeks at #1 on Your Hit Parade and was named the #1 song of 1935.
Astaire's 1935 recording with the Leo Reisman Orchestra was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame in 2000.
In 2004, Astaire's version finished at No. 15 on AFI's 100 Years...100 Songs survey of top tunes in American cinema.

Ovaj spot sa pjesmom je uvrsten u film "Zelena milja - The Green Mile" (1999) i to na dva mjesta: na pocetku kada se prikazuje u sceni gladanja na televiziji
i pri samom kraju filma kada se prikazuje u sceni gledanja u kinu. Zanimljivost je da se radnja filma "The Green Mile" dešava u 1935. godini,
upravo u godini kada je izasao i film "Cilindar - Top Hat" (1935) sa pjesmom i plesom "Cheek to Cheek".
The Green Mile (1999) was nominated for four Academy Awards at the 72nd Oscars (2000).
