Heinrich Heine
(1797 - 1856)
La larme solitaire, que veut-elle bien?
Elle me trouble la vue.
C'est une larme des temps anciens
Que mon œil a retenue.
Elle avait maintes sœurs brillantes,
Qui se sont toutes évanouies
Avec mes joies et mes tourmentes,
Dissoutes dans le vent et la nuit.
C'est comme de la brume aussi
Que les starlettes bleues se sont dissoutes,
Celles qui dans mon cœur avaient souri
Ces mêmes joies et ces tourmentes.
Hélas, Mon amour lui-même
S'est dissous comme un souffle, vainement!
Ô vielle et solitaire larme,
Dissous-toi aussi, a l'instant!
Was will die einsame Träne?
Sie trübt mir ja den Blick.
Sie blieb aus alten Zeiten
In meinem Auge zurück.
Sie hatte viel leuchtende Schwestern,
Die alle zerflossen sind,
Mit meinen Qualen und Freuden,
Zerflossen in Nacht und Wind.
Wie Nebel sind auch zerflossen
Die blauen Sternelein,
Die mir jene Freuden und Qualen
Gelächelt ins Herz hinein.
Ach, meine Liebe selber
Zerfloß wie eitel Hauch!
Du alte, einsame Träne,
Zerfließe jetzunder auch!
Sto ce ta jedina suza?
Samo mi pogled smeta.
U mom je ostala oku
Od starijih, proslih ljeta.
Mnoge su sestrice sjajne
Sve joj zginule redom;
Zginule su noc i vjetar
S veseljem mojim i bijedom.
Zginuse kao i magla
I plave zvjezdice tako
Uz koje sam radosno pjevo,
Uz koje sam jadovno plako.
I ljubav, ah tako moju
Vjetar je sobom uzo!
Pa daj se i ti rasplini
Stara, samotna suzo!
What means this lonely tear-drop
That blurs my troubled sight,
From olden times returning
Back to mine eyes to-night?
Its many glimmering sisters
Are vanished long ago,
In the night and the wind thy vanished
With all my joy and my woe.
And like the mists of evening
Did those blue stars depart,
That smiled all joys and sorrows
Into my trusting heart.
Alas! my love, too, melted
Like idle breath one day;
Oh lingering, lonely tear-drop,
Thou also fade away!
