Ko, na zici, ptica raspjevana
U ponocnom zboru, ko spodoba p'jana,
Za slobodom, zudio sam dalje
Na udici, poput crva,
Ko vitez, iz knjige, shrvan
Za tebe sam cuvao medalje.

Ako grubo znao sam te gostit'
Jos se nadam da ces mi oprostit'.
Il' ako sam izrekao lazi,
Nikad tebi, ako jesam – kazi!

Kao dijete, sto ga mrtvog rode,
Ko bestija koja rogom bode,
Smrvio sam svakog koji segnu rukom

No prisezem zvukom ove pjesme,
Svime onim, sto se cinit ne sm'je
Iskupit cu propust, visestruko.

I vidjeh prosjaka koji staku vuce
'Prevelike', kaza, 'tebe zelje muce.'
Ljepotica, opet, sto u sobu krene,
Dobaci mi: 'Samo to od mene?'
